Industrial cybersecurity startup Steryon has raised €1M Seed funding.
Steryon offers a platform that enables industrial organisations to manage cyber risk in a structured way, aligned with their operations and tailored to complex OT/ICS environments, where disruptions can have economic, regulatory, or even physical safety consequences.
Its solution brings together three essential capabilities in a single tool: continuous visibility, automated regulatory compliance, and remediation based on operational impact, all from a clear, action-oriented interface.
Steryon’s approach is based on translating the technical complexity of cybersecurity into an integrated, understandable, and actionable risk view—aligned with real business priorities.
From the production line to external networks, from engineering teams to the CISO’s office. Steryon’s AI brings critical clarity to this process: it understands context, prioritizes threats, and transforms complex data into ready-to-act intelligence.
According to Maria Taberna, founder and CEO of Steryon:
“After more than a decade working in industrial cybersecurity, I’ve experienced the sector’s challenges firsthand.”
Steryon wants to change the paradigm by providing solutions that speak the industry’s language, integrate seamlessly into operations, and protect what matters most—intelligently.
Taberna asserts:
“Industrial cybersecurity can no longer be a siloed or reactive effort; it must become a strategic business capability.”
Taberna is an engineer with over 15 years of experience in industrial cybersecurity. She was a key figure in the development of Oylo, from its early days to its acquisition by Rockwell Automation, where she later led global cybersecurity initiatives, designing and deploying programs in highly regulated and complex industrial environments.
Her technical expertise, combined with a clear operational vision, defines the practical and effective approach Steryon brings to industrial security. Maria leads a dynamic, expert team with a strong track record in cybersecurity and industrial environments, including
4Founders Capital and Abac Nest Ventures co-led the funding.
"At 4Founders, we saw in Steryon a high-impact proposal, led by a team with deep understanding of the problem and the environment in which it occurs. Their vision is ambitious and has been executed with focus from day one," said Marc Badosa, partner and founder at 4Founders Capital.
"At Abac Nest Ventures, we support technical founders with a clear vision and strong execution capabilities. Steryon represents this new generation of industrial solutions born from the ground up, with modular technology, AI-powered engines, and a clear focus on real-world impact," added Joan Pina, partner at Abac Nest Ventures.
Steryon is one of the three Spanish companies selected by Google for its Google for Startups Growth Academy: AI for Cybersecurity program, an initiative supporting the world’s most promising startups using AI to enhance cybersecurity.
With the funds raised, Steryon plans to accelerate the development of its technology, strengthen its technical and commercial teams, and expand its deployment among clients, particularly in key industrial sectors.
The company is already collaborating with operators across various industries and aims to scale its presence nationally and internationally in the coming months.
